Emily Jordan

I am a Social Work major at Fresno Pacific University. I am determined to be successful in all that I do. At the University, I earned the highest scholarship, the President’s Scholarship. Growing up, I have always been active, and have always worked hard helping my dad in the yard with his projects. I went to University High School, a rigorous private school that was difficult academically and physically. I earned multiple awards for the Forensics club when I competed in public speaking of my poetry. I also was awarded for completing high school with a cumulative gpa of 4.1. The physical education program was very challenging, but fulfilling. I learned how to take proper care of my body, how to eat healthy, and what specific exercises to do to in order to achieve my physical goals. We even learned self-defense and HIIT. My physical goal hear at Meathead is to improve myself physically as well as mentally. I want to grow stronger physically and in turn live a more healthy lifestyle. Hobbies: I love helping people, and I also enjoy taking care of people’s home such as cleaning and moving things around. During the summer I had the opportunity to clean the whole house of a friend who is blind and incapable of walking. I am also an artist. I love to paint and draw every time I get the chance. I tend to bring a sketchbook with me where-ever I go in case I get inspired. I also love to play the piano and sing. I volunteer in my community church as a worship leader.
