San Diego County Movers
Welcome to Meathead Movers of San Diego County!
What’s not to love about San Diego County? We’d move there if we could! San Diego County holds a special significance to Meathead Movers because our CEO and co-founder, Aaron Steed, married his wife there in 2008 at the landmark US Grant Hotel.
Between that and the many moves we do to and from San Diego, we have many great memories there. It would be hard not to: with a population that is larger than 20 American states and one of the most perfect climates in the world, it’s no wonder San Diego County has so much to offer.
With attractions ranging from the San Diego Zoo and Sea World to Old Town’s handmade tortilla to world-class surfing at Black’s Beach, there is something in San Diego for everyone!
San Diego’s rich military history resonates with Meathead Movers in more ways than one. With 16 naval and military installations, it’s a hotbed for moving activity in Oceanside and the surrounding towns. Unlike most movers, we know all about the stress of moving and work our hardest to reduce that stress. Can you imagine how much more stressful a move is when you are sending a loved one overseas to risk his or her life? Accordingly, our military clients are true VIPs to us. Additionally, Meathead Movers is proud to employ quite a few veterans, both as movers and at our corporate office. Our training programs are modeled after Army training programs, so it’s a natural fit!
We also love all the great colleges and universities in San Diego County. When you employ hundreds of student athletes, you really appreciate a county that makes higher education a priority. With UCSD, SDSU, CSU San Marcos, USD, Point Loma, National University, and many other universities, San Diego County is teeming with college students and has that great energy you get when you have some of the brightest minds in the country concentrated in one place. It’s no wonder that San Diego is also home to the Scripps Research Institute, the Salk Institute and numerous other important research and conservation facilities.
Whether you are moving to a high rise in the Gaslamp District overlooking Petco Park, or to the bluffs of Solana Beach or La Jolla, we’re here to support you along the way. We know moving is stressful, but it’s our job to ease your move. If you are moving to, from, or within San Diego County, we’re here to help! Our services range from local moving, long-distance moving, packing and even on-site moving or rearranging your home/office or loading rental trucks.
We have been revolutionizing the moving industry since 1997. When you entrust your move to Meathead, you can rest assured knowing that your move will be a success because our professionally trained student-athlete movers are the best movers the industry has to offer.

Great job and very pleasant crew of students
I moved from San Diego County to SLO County. I found Meathead Movers online, and honestly, was amused and intrigued by the name. However, there’s nothing goofy about this company. Of all the movers I’ve ever hired, Meathead Movers were the most professional, friendly and competent. I had, and will still have, a complicated and multi-faceted move. They moved me out of my house on May 21 and drove back to San Luis Obispo where my stuff sat in their truck for ten days before I moved into a temporary rental on June 1. That was yesterday. Going from a 2400 sf home to an 1100 sf rental was a challenge, but we made it happen. More than half of my belongings are in a storage unit at their headquarters in SLO for the next two months. Then I will move into my new home. Crazy? Yes. But thanks to Jenny, my move coordinator and especially to Caden, the guy who drove the truck and managed every facet of this craziness, it wasn’t so much daunting as it was (and still is) an adventure. You guys are amazing. Thank you for making what could’ve been a nightmare ... fun!!!
The guys are really careful with our things. They are all very nice and professional. Calling and texting with confirmations and ETAs is really helpful.
Professional care with my furniture. Wrapping and protecting my items. Fast and easy to work with.
Friendly, efficient, and careful with my possessions.
All three guys worked very hard even in the rain. Thank you!!
They were efficient, careful and best of all, had a great attitude.
