Kern County Movers
Spanning from the Central Valley of California to Los Angeles County’s Antelope Valley, Kern County comprises the Bakersfield metropolitan area. Home to Edwards Airforce Base, Kern County has a strong military, aviation, and space presence as well as heavy ties to the agricultural industry that you can expect in the Central Valley of California.
It’s not hard to see why so many move here with Meathead Movers. You can enjoy hiking and camping on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and Mojave Desert to the east, the Coast range to the west and the Giant Sequoia National Park to the north. Train enthusiasts and other rail fans can travel to the Tehachapi Loop in southern Kern County’s Tehachapi, CA, and Lake Isabella is a perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy the county’s namesake Kern River and its natural beauty year round.
Centrally located, Bakersfield is the seat of the county, and is the ninth-most populous city in California. Like the rest of the county, Bakersfield is a hub for both oil and agricultural production and three of the top five employers in the city are farms and agricultural companies. The city also gained fame in the early 1960s for the electric guitar-driven subgenre of country music, best exemplified by artists such as Dwight Yoakam and Merle Haggard.
With total residents close to 900,000, the area is the 11th largest county in California by population.

Local Residential Move from Bakersfield to Bakersfield
“Explain detailed pricing for drive time (i.e: additional charge for drive time over first 7 minutes to get to the storage facility?), added items and pack/move times more clearly prior to the move date. Thank goodness I did the majority of furniture disassembly and moved the majority of items to the family/dining room prior to the movers showing up at my door. Otherwise, they would have used the entire day to pack-out, load truck and move to storage reaching the maximum fee quoted.
I appreciated that the movers were very professional and courteous. They worked with me to keep the price quoted closer to the minimum. That is why I felt they were owed a gratuity.”

Everyone was so friendly and caring, both on the phone and in person. It was a very difficult day moving my mom out of her house of 43 years into a retirement community, but the fellows were kind to her, cheerful, and helped her to relax. Providing the VIP Chair helped her release the need to micromanage. That (from a daughter's perspective) was perfectly brilliant. Thank you for being the best part of a very taxing and emotional day. I will gladly hire your team again.

Very professional and willing to work a difficult situation
I appreciated the constant communication/confirmation of my move prior to the actual moving date with both; your headquarters, and the local team leader Cesar from Fresno. Cesar was very accurate with the organization of my move, he made everything run smoothly. His communication skills were excellent, and he was professional about everything while in Fresno with his crew of two that were great too, and also the next day while in Bakersfield with one student member, Bishop from Bakersfield College. I think all-around, Cesar was easy to work with, and not only did he respect me as a customer, he was a great example to his teammates that likewise seemed to respect him as well.

The young men were very energetic and polite, but we felt they were inexperienced with large scale loading jobs. They need to be better trained in the wrapping of furniture pieces and loading trucks to their best and most stable capacity - high and tight - with both boxes and furniture. We have moved across the country 5 times, so we know a thing or two. Regarding the wrapping of furniture, the crew the first day wrapped many items insufficiently, so my husband and I spent most of the night re-wrapping items for them to load on the second day. We were, however, very impressed that when we told the team lead of our issue, he was very apologetic and took responsibility for the problem. Again, the attitude of the young men was excellent. With respect to the loading, it seemed that the crew was almost overwhelmed with the amount of furniture so they just started with what they knew and did only the boxes for the first several hours. Full service movers generally do some furniture, then some boxes, etc, etc, in alternating fashion to pack the truck best. Mainly, it bowls down to better training.
