Santa Maria Sun: Meathead Movers Turns 10

February 01, 2007

Aaron and Evan Steed started Meathead Movers in 1997 when Aaron was a high school junior and Evan was a freshman. They were both athletes looking for part-time work that they could fit around their busy schedules.

The company has come a long way since the two brothers were accepting $20 and a pizza as payment for a day’s work. Meathead Movers is now the second-largest family owned business in San Luis Obispo County and the largest moving company in the tri-counties area.

“Business is primarily about relationships,” Aaron said in a release. “We would like to thank San Luis Obispo County for providing the environment that has supported the Meathead concept and welcomed us with open arms since we began our business 10 years ago.”

Meathead Movers’ corporate office is located in San Luis Obispo, but the company serves the entire state of California. A local move is considered anything from Paso Robles to Calabasas. The company is also opening a new office in Camarillo. Go to MeatheadMovers.com for more information and free estimates.
