SAN LUIS OBISPO – Supplies will soon be on their way to Haiti from generous residents on the central coast.

Meathead Movers in San Luis Obispo have been taking donations of supplies for the survivors of massive earthquake. The company teamed up with Heart to Heart International to collect toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and other basic essentials.

The company said it wanted to provide a reputable source for donations for people who were worried about scam artists. They’re calling the drive a success, bringing in both young and old to donate.

“It’s very nice to do this because other people don’t really do this all the time, they just they really just don’t do anything,” says Koby Wescom [Age 8].

It’s not the first time the company has stepped up to help those in need.

Meathead movers have also collected supplies for people affected by Hurricane Katrina and several California wildfires. The donated items will be sent off to heart to heart headquarters in Kansas tomorrow and should reach Haiti by next week.
