San Luis Obispo County Movers

Zach DeVries, a native of San Luis Obispo County, has etched his name in the annals of Meathead lore as “one of the greatest Mentors of all time.” Zach’s journey at Meathead is a testament to his dedication and drive as he climbed the ranks from the grassroots level to eventually assume the esteemed position of Employee Development Manager in 2024.

Having started his career as a Meathead, immersing himself in the day-to-day operations, Zach embraced the challenge of becoming a Mentor, guiding, and inspiring his colleagues along the way. His relentless pursuit of excellence led him to seize the opportunity to become the Operations Manager of San Luis Obispo six years later, a role he embraced without hesitation. After two years of successfully steering the ship as the Operations Manager, Zach’s leadership qualities shone through again as he was promoted to Employee Development Manager for Operations. This elevation underscores his commitment to continuous improvement and ability to drive organizational growth through practical training and development initiatives.

Zach’s journey at Meathead began with a referral from his peers, but his passion for the company’s ethos and values truly captured his heart. He has become a revered figure among his colleagues, admired for his strength, motivation, eloquence, and rapid grasp of new concepts. In his current role, Zach is instrumental in crafting innovative procedures and employee training programs to deliver our customers’ ultimate move-day experience.

Beyond the confines of his professional life, Zach finds solace and fulfillment in outdoor activities, CrossFit, and bodybuilding — embodying the essence of a true Meathead both in and out of the workplace.

Arnold Milligan is Assistant General Manager at Meathead Movers’ Santa Maria branch. He grew up in Atascadero, CA, and attended Atascadero High School before continuing his education at Cuesta College, where he studied Computer Science. In high school, he found his passion in boxing and Muay Thai.

Arnold’s path to Santa Maria began in San Luis Obispo, where he started as a Dispatch Coordinator,  a role that eventually led him to his current position as Assistant General Manager. Along the way, he’s grown to love Santa Maria for its incredible food, welcoming people, and rich history. Before joining Meathead Movers, Arnold worked as an Associate at In-N-Out in Atascadero. What drew him to Meathead Movers was simple: getting paid to essentially work out sounded great, and he loved that the company offers free moves for domestic violence victims, helping bring clients peace of mind during one of the most stressful times of their lives.

He brings adaptability, accountability, and team leadership to the job. Looking ahead, Arnold is excited to make a real impact by building relationships throughout Santa Barbara County, furthering both his career at Meathead Movers and his personal growth along the way.

Outside of work, Arnold likes to work out and intends to get into bodybuilding. He also enjoys Muay Thai and hiking, and on his rest days likes playing electric guitar and spending time with friends and loved ones.

Mark DiGirolamo is Assistant General Manager 1 at Meathead Movers. Born and raised on the Central Coast, he calls Arroyo Grande home and attended Arroyo Grande High School, where he played cricket and baseball. Just a few blocks from the beach, it’s an area he loves and has never wanted to leave.

Mark’s path with Meathead Movers started from the ground up — literally. He began as a Meathead, then was promoted to Team Captain, spending two years in San Luis Obispo and two more in Temecula Valley, before working his way up to Assistant General Manager of San Luis Obispo. That hands-on experience in nearly every position, from mover to manager, gave him a deep understanding of the company’s operations. He was drawn to Meathead Movers by its commitment to helping domestic violence victims with free moving services and a fresh start — a mission that still inspires him today.

He brings a strong work ethic, firsthand operational knowledge from every level of the business, and leadership skills honed through his time mentoring other Meatheads. Looking ahead, Mark is excited to keep learning the business side of things and grow professionally, with his sights set on one day becoming a General Manager of his own branch.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys hiking and playing guitar.
