Los Angeles County Movers
Meathead Movers is growing by leaps and bounds in Los Angeles County, and we couldn’t be more excited! The first several years Meathead Movers was in business, we stayed pretty close to home with regards to the counties we did most of our moves in. Of course there were exceptions, like the move from Chicago to San Luis Obispo for a Harpo Productions executive or relocating the entire corporate staff of the country’s leading guitar string manufacturer to Southern California, but the majority of our moves were in the Tri-Counties area. It wasn’t until we opened up our Ventura County office that we began really take off as the preferred Los Angeles County movers. We quickly realized what a fabulous place it is! To paraphrase Randy Newman: Meathead Movers loves's LA!
Moving in Los Angeles County is definitely different than moving in the rural foothills of San Luis Obispo County or the suburban sprawl of Orange County. With nearly ten million residents, you would think that it would be overwhelming to service such a large market. However, we have quickly become familiar with all of the unique neighborhoods in Los Angeles County and the personalities of the residents of each. If you are a Los Angeles County resident, perhaps you’ve seen our eye-catching moving trucks rolling down Pacific Coast Highway. We do a lot of moves in Malibu, and we’ve noticed that our clients there love the fact that we try very hard to be environmentally responsible by using biodiesel, recycling tens of thousands of pounds of corrugate each year, and having a paperless sales system. Naturally our student-athlete movers jump at a chance to do a move in Venice Beach—how could they not love a place that is home to Muscle Beach?! But don’t worry, when they take a break to pump a little iron at Gold’s Gym, they do it off the clock. Other quintessentially Los Angeles County moves are the many we do in Westlake Village and Calabasas for both TV productions and their stars; it’s always a kick to come home from a move, turn on the TV, and see the person you moved hours earlier! One of Meathead’s very favorite clients has used us a half dozen times, and for such a famous face, she couldn’t be any nicer!

Being a transportation company using Los Angeles area freeways can be a little challenging at times, however, our movers have come to love seeing all the local landmarks ranging from The Getty Center, to the Scientology Celebrity Center, to Griffith Observatory, and of course the Hollywood sign from the cab of the truck. They never get tired of these world famous sights, and feel lucky to be working amongst them on a daily basis.
Whether you are off to seek fame and fortune in LA or leaving the hustle bustle of Los Angeles County (or just need help moving items from your Hollywood Hills spread to your Carbon Beach cottage for the summer), we're here to support you along the way. Our services range from local moving, long distance moving, packing and even on-site moving for rearranging your home/office or loading rental trucks. We know moving is stressful, but it's our job to ease your transition.

We have been revolutionizing the moving industry since 1997. When you entrust your move to Meathead, you can rest assured that your move will be a success because our professionally trained student-athlete movers are the best movers the industry has to offer.

Local residential move in Los Angeles |

The Meathead team scheduled for my move met my expectations but without really going beyond them. I understand that my move was scheduled on a "holiday" and that everyone wishes to take advantage of it, but coming in the morning of my move with an obvious hangover and acknowledging that the night before the two Meathead movers had gone out late to celebrate, wasn't really the best encouragement I could hear the day of my move! Besides, I was told on the day of my Estimate that the movers would be jogging between two pieces of furniture being loaded in the truck, and the movers that day were really far away from jogging but rather dragging! It's fine, but I'd rather not being told that the movers will be exceptional while we really had to give them lots of help in order to meet the deadline. In the end, we managed to complete the move and keep it under the estimated time, and I was satisfied not to be charged any additional fees.

I don't feel the movers are careful with people's posessions. For the price I expect more professionalism. They are more concerned with getting done quickly.

Local residential move in Los Angeles |

We were looking for a full service move, including packing services. Because Meathead Movers includes packing via a separate "sister-company" the packing services were able to be excluded from the Not To Exceed estimate. As an inducement we were given 4 free hours with two packers the day prior to the move, and assumed this would pack a significant fraction of our items. Instead we were left with 1/3 of our kitchen and most of the rest of our apartment to pack ourselves. This was what we had hoped to avoid with a full service move.
The idea of using a second company to separate the packing services from the Not To Exceed moving regulations is, in retrospect, starting to seem like a rather underhanded trick, and I am working on an email to MovingScam.com saying as much.
On the other hand, I was very happy with our move day. That process went smoothly, and the movers were extrememly positive, efficient, and careful with our things. The fact were not completely packed up (due to the packing service issue) did not phase them, and were able to help us get everything out the door within the estimated time. They were also able to manage the potentially difficult parking situation at the destination. They were outstanding. Were it not for the packing service, this would be a 10.

They were fast, professional, and always had a positive attitude. This made my experience very enjoyable and with movers, I don't usually trust, but with Meathead I trusted them completely with the care of all my stuff.

I really appreciated the people and the service -- including the two "princess packers" who helped me pack. Wonderful, professional, hardworking, polite young people who worked hard and made the day so much easier for me. I also like the fact that they stage only one move at a time, so that your belongings and move aren't consolidated with others and delayed.
Many thanks, Meathead!

Our move was seamless from the first call through the completion of the move. The movers were professional and moved quickly. I wouldn't use anyone else for future moves and I will recommend Meathead Movers to friends and family.

Channing and C.J. were very polite and extremely helpful. Their immediate "team" impression was that they were going to be flexible throughout the move and they were.

The three guys that moved our stuff were incredibly fast, and also we had nothing break in the move. They were absolutely fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone in the L.A. area I know that needs movers.
Thanks again!
