Meathead Mover

Description:

Job Posting Meathead Mover

The Meathead is the nucleus of a moving crew. A Meathead will perform the primary labor of lifting and carrying household or commercial goods to and from the moving van. Whenever not carrying items (a large part of the day) a Meathead is required to jog. Being a Meathead is very physically demanding, please see Qualifications.

In the pre-job phase, the Meathead is assigned to a moving job by the Crew Coordinator. The Crew Coordinator contacts the Meathead in advance to alert him about the work assignment and to inform him of the date and time to appear for work.

On the day of the move, the Meathead appears at the warehouse wearing his work uniform and complying with hygiene requirements. A Meathead prepares for the rigors of moving by performing stretching exercises and other warm-up exercises. A Meathead then receives instructions from the Mentor or Crew Coordinator.

During the job, the Meathead exhibits good customer service skills by being friendly and helpful. A Meathead works as assigned under the direction of the Mentor or Super Meathead to pack, carry, and load goods. During the process, the Meathead assists the Mentor with properly loading and securing goods inside the moving van. At all times, the Meathead applies his training to work safely and to avoid damaging the customer’s goods. Should damages or other customer dissatisfaction issues arise, the Meathead alerts the mentor.

At the completion of the job, the Meathead assists with inventorying the equipment and tools, and preparing the vehicle to return to the warehouse. At the warehouse, the Meathead checks in with the Crew Coordinator to receive further instructions and his next work assignment.

An important part of the Meathead’s job is to learn and improve moving skills and knowledge. Accordingly, the Meathead will follow a training program guided by the use of Qualification Cards.

Princess Packer

Description:

Job Posting Princess Packer

A Princess Packer will perform the primary labor of packing, organizing and unpacking household or commercial goods. A Princess Packer may also be assigned tasks involving handling other items, as assigned. Sometimes a Princess Packer will be assigned to go conduct a packing job on-site at a client’s home or office, other times a Princess Packer will be assigned work with Meathead Movers offices.

In the pre-job phase, the Princess Packer is assigned to a packing job by the Crew Coordinator. The Crew Coordinator contacts the Princess Packer in advance to alert her about the work assignment and to inform her of the date and time to appear for work. On the day of the move, the Princess Packer appears at the warehouse wearing her work uniform and complying with hygiene requirements. A Princess Packer prepares for the day’s work by stocking her vehicle with the required packing materials.

During the job, the Princess Packer exhibits good customer service skills by being friendly and helpful. A Princess Packer works as assigned under the direction of the Super Princess to pack, label, and neatly stack packed boxes. At all times, the Princess Packer applies her training to work safely and to avoid damaging the customer’s goods. Should damages or other customer dissatisfaction issues arise, the Princess Packer alerts the Super Princess.

At the completion of the job, the Princess Packer assists with inventorying the equipment and tools, and preparing the vehicle to return to the warehouse.

You will be on your feet the majority of the day. Standing, carrying and walking are constant on this job.

Move Coordinator

Description:

Job Posting Move Coordinator

The Move Coordinator (MC) provides the primary customer interface for the company. The MC spends a substantial amount of time on the road traveling to various customer locations to perform estimates and sell our goods and services.

The MC will have access to proprietary company systems and information.

Before, during, and after the move, the MC serves the customer by:

  • Visiting each customer for an on-site estimate
  • Describing company services, policies and procedures to the customer
  • Explaining the move process
  • Estimating the customer’s cost for each move, including box and insurance costs
  • Responding to inquiries from the customer and CSR throughout the process
  • Promptly responding to any moving incidents resulting in customer dissatisfaction
  • Call backs after the move when specified on post job survey.
  • Remaining reasonably accessible to the customer via cell phone and email
  • Conducting all customer communications with courtesy and respect
  • Delivering boxes as requested and at estimate
  • Performing Job Onsite observations
  • Creating business affiliations through our "Quarterback Program."
  • Distributing marketing material in-between estimates
  • Occasionally shuttling workers to or between jobs
  • Solving the client’s problems (coordinating services, brainstorming solutions, etc.)

In addition, the MC supports ongoing marketing activities through community outreach.

In addition, the MC attends marketing functions, representing the company at networking and other business functions.

When applicable, the MC will schedule moving jobs and other CSR functions.

Education Requirements:

The MC candidate should possess at least a high school education. Some college education is preferred.

Qualifications:

Because of the specialized nature of sales communications, it is essential that the MC speak, write, and otherwise communicate in fluent English. The MC candidate should also be proficient in MS Office applications such as Word and Excel. They should also have knowledge of computer database entry applications.

In addition to these basic skills, the successful MC candidates will possess a combination of empathy and ego that makes for a good sales person. They must be able to perceive the customer from the customer’s point of view. But they must also feel a strong sense of self-motivation to “close the deal” in order to obtain a suitable lead-to-book ratio.

Analytical ability is key in selling the appropriate level of service to the customer. The MC must be able to take information about the volume and quantity of household or commercial goods and then provide an accurate assessment of the costs involved in packing and transporting the goods. This information is used to provide a fixed price quote which the company will stand behind. Accordingly, the ability of the company to earn a profit rests in the hands of the MC and depends on their ability to correctly analyze and estimate the move.

Move Coordinators must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report and valid driver’s license as they will be required to drive a company vehicle to clients’ location.

Physical demands of the Move Coordinator position are consistent with that of a typical office worker, sitting while at desk or driving, walking and standing around the clients’ location as well as occasional lifting and carrying 15 pounds or less.



Customer Service Representative

Description:

Job Posting Customer Service Representative

Currently, we are looking for entry level employees who will start as Customer Service Representatives (CSR) who provide the initial customer interface for the company. Part time positions are available. The primary functions include booking moving jobs and scheduling estimates, assisting our Move Coordinators as they call in during the day with additional customer information, responding to customer questions and requests, data entry and additional clerical duties. This is a service position, compensated by a base hourly rate which depends on experience. Meathead is absolutely the best in the industry, and a large part of your job will be educating our clients about that, since often times they are searching blindly for a moving company. The right person will be passionate about providing five star customer service and, more importantly, helping save clients from the horrible moving experience that’s all too common in the industry.

Qualifications:

Because of the specialized nature of sales communications, you must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. You must be proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.

In addition to these basic skills, the successful candidate will exhibit a positive, friendly, and professional attitude. The CSR must be able to communicate in a cordial, upbeat manner in order to establish rapport and trust with customers.

Physical demands of the Customer Service Representative position are consistent with that of a typical office worker, majority of the time sitting while at desk, with some walking and standing as well as occasional lifting and carrying of 15 pounds or less.
