Meathead Movers Hall of Fame page is comprised of current and past Meatheads who have accomplished great things in their life from athletics and scholastics to civil service. Every inductee is carefully scrutinized and selected based upon their demonstration of moral character, work ethic and excelling at their respective field.

Gregory Bentley

Gregory Bentley

Greg is a trial attorney specializing in criminal defense. He is licensed to practice in both California State and Federal Courts. His career is a passion. He not only works to zealously advocate for each one of his individual clients, but on a larger scale he has the privilege of ensuring that all of our fundamental constitutional rights are protected. Within the next 10 years, Greg’s goal is to become one of the best trial attorneys in the state of California. He also hopes to be able to balance his career with a healthy, lucrative and fulfilling home life surrounded by family and friends. Greg began working at Meathead Movers in high school due to his close friendship with Evan Steed and his respect for Aaron Steed. When asked to work for Meathead Movers, he was honored to do so. While working here he was able to develop the discipline necessary to become a successful professional. After being promoted to manager, he ascertained essential skills that he uses today including interacting with clients on a professional level, delegating responsibility to others, and taking pride in accomplishing a project for which he is responsible. Growing up and learning from both Evan and Aaron instilled within him an attitude and outlook which he has implemented in his own life and professional career: There is nothing you cannot accomplish when you are disciplined, dedicated and fearless.

Drew Grundfor

Drew Grundfor

Since 2006, Drew has worked as master printer and project leader in his studio work space that he converted from an old barn. Drew started out creating prints from his own original art, working alongside his painter’s easel, to learn everything about fine art printing. He was able to master the art of printing and the quality of his prints caught the attention of a small group of artists. With only 12 clients, Drew formed The Untapped Source in 2006 as a fine art printing resource for other artists. Drew plans to grow his company over the next 10 years to be able to handle all aspect of growth including customer base, artists and art buyers. He would also like to break into the high end market of selling original artwork, as well as working as a publishing company selling signed & numbered limited editions. Drew began working for Meathead Movers when he first came to San Luis Obispo. He was looking for physical work that would allow him to make friends as well as learn valuable leadership skills. The hard work and example set for him by Meathead’s management has had a lasting impact on him. He believes it has been easier for him to conduct business positively because of how he was immersed in it here at Meathead Movers.

Ian LeMay

Ian LeMay

Ian currently serves as District Director for Congressman Jim Costa, who represents the 16th Congressional District. He advises the Congressman on a number of issues including agriculture, water, and transportation. He is also responsible for ensuring that the Congressman’s Merced and Fresno staff are equipped to perform to the best of their ability. Over the next ten years, Ian plans to continue his work in the local community as he has a deep desire to help people on a daily basis and see the local area prosper. If the time is right, he may even try his own hand at running for office! However, the most important plan for his future is growing a family with his lovely wife, Molly. Ian was referred to Meathead Movers by a couple of his fraternity brothers. During his time at Meathead, he learned that no one comes into the company on top; you must put in the time and prove yourself to climb the ranks. He took this lesson with him to his current job. By putting in extra hours and working hard he has already been promoted from District Representative to District Director.

Stephen Winterroth

Stephen Winterroth

Stephen Winterroth was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts. In high school Stephen became an avid outdoors man and still enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and going on mountain bike rides. Stephen attended Cuesta College and was a Meathead Mover for over 6 years. Stephen currently works for the forest service on Santa Lucia Crew 7. Crew 7 is a line crew working only on forest fires. They are based out of the Los Padres National Forest but will travel anywhere needed. There are 20 full time crew members with a few alternates. Crew 7 is responsible for using chainsaws and other hand tools to cut open areas through the wilderness in order to contain a wild fire. Stephen ended his career at Meathead with a jaw-dropping 112,458 points.

Jake Shields

Jake Shields

Jake Shields was raised near Mt. Ranch, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of northern California. Jake began wrestling at age nine. He has competed in over 650 folk, freestyle and submission wrestling matches. A four year varsity wrestler and state qualifier at Calaveras H.S., 2nd place A.A.U. National Freestyle Championships, qualified for U.S.A./ Fila Nationals & World Team Trials in both the junior & university men's divisions, two time All American at Cuesta College, 3X Grapplers Quest Advance Champion, Pan American Jui Jitsu Champion, Pan Am Open Advance Submission Champion, Gracie Open Superfight Champion, 3rd place at ADCC 2005. Jake was also Aaron Steed's (CEO of Meathead Movers) wrestling partner for 2 years at Cuesta College. Jake worked for Meathead Movers for 3 years and was a Mentor for 2 years. Jake was also honored as Mentor of the Quarter and was known as a funny and charismatic strong man.

Jordan Beck

Jordan Beck

Jordan Beck, now a linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons and former Meathead Mover in the San Luis Obispo Division. Jordan is 6'2 " and 233 lbs. Cal Poly's first Buck Buchanan Award winner as best defensive player in Division I-AA. Played in 2005 East-West Shrine Game at SBC Park in San Francisco, where he led the West squad in tackles with six. Other awards include: American Football Coaches Association All-American, The Sports Network All-America First Team Defense, Walter Camp Football Foundation All-American, College Sports Report.com Performer of the Year (First Team Defense), I-AA.org All-Star Team, Linebacker of the Year by Don Hansen's Football gazette, and Great West Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year (First Team Defense). He led the Mustangs to 9-2 record and inaugural Great West Football Conference championship. He broke the school record for tackles in a season with 135, including 97 solo stops. He also broke school career mark for tackles, which now stands at 449. He has notched 22 total tackles in Eastern Washington game, one short of school record he set at Montana in 2003. He was Cal Poly's leading tackler all four seasons as a Mustang.

Michael Chaloupka

Michael Chaloupka

Michael stays busy working for Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, Inc., where he helps victims of personal injury get back on their feet by making sure they receive the medical care they need. At night he attends classes at The Santa Barbara College of Law. Within the next 10 years his goals include becoming one of the top trial attorneys in California, raising a family on a ranch with lots of animals, continuing to play hockey, and dropping his body fat to 8-10% like it was during his Meathead days. Michael was initially drawn to Meathead Movers because he enjoys working in a team environment. His friends were already working here and he felt like he was part of the family right away. He also loved being able to help people make the best of their situations, and of course, the exercise was a pro as well. Working at Meathead helped him develop the strong work ethic, communication skills and dedication needed to achieve his goal and become a leader and role model in the community. Eric Maldonado

Eric Maldonado

Eric is a Financial Advisor at William Henry Crew III Wealth Management Group, Inc. He serves a select group of clients and friends in developing true wealth by educating, communicating, and implementing personal and holistic financial plans. He strives to assist clients in making informed financial decisions to reach their personal and family financial goals and objectives. Within the next 10 years he intends to be in the top 1% of independent financial advising firms nationally and consistently earn annual client satisfaction scores of at least 90%. Also within the next 10 years he intends to invest in the youth of the Central Coast through coaching and developing a youth wrestling academy as well as pastoring and mentoring youth at his local church. Eric began working at Meathead Movers because he knew the Steeds were building a great company with hard working individuals and the Steeds wanted to take part in supporting him as a student-athlete in the community. Working at Meathead Movers helped to drive home the importance of having a clear vision for your business and having a strong work ethic to diligently pursue it.

Cody MacArthur

Cody MacArthur

Cody is a police officer in Los Angeles, assigned to the Northeast Division’s Gang Unit. He is responsible for gathering intel on gang members and assisting detectives solve gang-related crimes while trying to prevent further crime in the area with directed patrol. In the next ten years Cody hopes to become a training officer and work for his department’s SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) Team. He also hopes to help their department football team win a championship in the National Public Safety Football League. Cody began working for Meathead Movers because the flexible schedule was great for him while he was in school and he couldn’t turn down getting paid to work out. Meathead Movers taught him leadership and training skills which he now uses to guide the people he works with now.

Nate Martens

Nate Martens

Nate has found success running a team of Regional Sales Managers for Okta, a technology company based in San Francisco. Okta helps companies manage their internal/external identities, application access, security processes, et cetera. Within the next 10 years Nate hopes to run worldwide sales for a technology company in San Francisco or start his own company. In his personal life, Nate strives to be the best husband and father humanly possible for his wife and soon-to-be two children. Nate came to Meathead Movers after meeting a couple of Meatheads at Cal Poly. He knew right away that getting paid to exercise and work with great people would be right up his alley. The job has played a large role in developing the work ethic and tenacity he has today!

Brian Lusby

Brian Lusby

Brian Lusby started at Meathead Movers in 2010 and was quickly recognized as a quintessential Meathead. Brian’s hardworking, polite and clients love him. Lusby is always a top pick for big moving jobs. Born and raised in Olympia, Washington, Lusby moved to the Central Coast to attend Cuesta College. Brian is known by all his Meathead peers as the king of “Beer Pong”. This is no joke; Lusby competes in dozens of tournaments a year and has won thousands of dollars playing Beer Pong competitively. Brian Lusby’s normal Beer Pong partner is fellow Meathead Mover Steven Campbell, however Brian also competes in tournaments with his wife Krista. Lusby spends a lot of his free time studying HTML and web design and hopes one day to run his own website based around Beer Pong.

Chris Chase

Chris Chase

Born and raised in Camarillo, Chris started at Meathead Movers in 2007 and has been an exemplary Meathead Mover with a knack for problem solving, going the extra mile for clients, and giving back to the community. Chris currently works part time at the City of Fillmore Fire Department and has seen his fair share of action having been called to vehicle accidents, medical emergencies and fires. When Chris is not fighting fires or moving furniture you can find him playing softball or relaxing out on the lake.

David Richardson

David Richardson

David Richardson, 6' 1" and 200 lbs and originally from Los Angeles, Ca. David is a Safety for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Dave was a Meathead Mover for the San Luis Obispo Division. Dave always worked hard, had a smile on his face and is a man of integrity. Dave is also scheduled to speak at a Meathead Movers the next time he is in town to share his experiences of being in the NFL and what it takes to become a Champion.

Chad

Chad "Money" Mendes

Chad “Money” Mendes is from Hanford CA; wrestled for Hanford High School ranking 8th, 5th and 3rd in state his sophomore, junior and senior year, respectively. Chad’s college wrestling career was at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and, on top of earning All-American honors and Pac-10 Wrester of the Year, took 2nd in 2008 NCAA championships at 141 Lbs. Chad started working for Meathead Movers in early 2006, he is an incredibly hard worker and is usually the life of the party at Meathead functions. After college Chad has gone on to train with Team Alpha Male alongside Urijah Faber, and competes professionally in Mixed Martial Arts with dominating victories in the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Chris Gocong

Chris Gocong

Chris Gocong is now playing for the Cleaveland Browns after four years as a Philadelphia Eagle with over 160 tackles at 2 forced fumbles. Chris was a former Meathead Mover in the San Luis Obispo division, at 6' 3" 265 lbs he was originally from Santa Barbara California. At Cal Poly, Chris was honored from The Sports Network All-America First Team Defense, Walter Camp Football Foundation All-American, College Sports Report.com Defensive Lineman of the Year (First Team Defense), I-AA.org All-Star Team, Football Gazette All-West Region Team (First Team Defense) and Great West Football Conference First Team Defense.
