Meathead Movers was voted of the favorite Moving Companies in the Ventura County Star. This award is especially noteworthy because the votes are from residents of the county. We have only had the pleasure of serving Ventura County for the last two and half years, and are very honored!

Evan Steed was named in SLO Counties Top 20 under 40, in San Luis Obispo County by the Tribune. The winners were selected based on a strong commitment to their chosen fields and to community service.

2008 San Luis Obispo County Green Awards
The awards recognized organizations that have taken exemplary steps to make their operations more environmentally friendly, including reducing pollution, conserving resources and improving water and air quality. The winners were chosen from more than 50 nominations by judges representing the Chamber, San Luis Obispo city and county agencies and environmental groups. Meathead Movers – Meathead Movers has grown to be the largest moving company in SLO, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. The award was accepted by CEO Aaron Steed. Among their green practices:
* Introduced biodiesel fuel to their fleet of moving trucks.
* Recycled more than 32,000 pounds of cardboard during summer months.
* Use tablet PCs on the job to cut down on paper use.
* Installed skylights at their offices so they can leave the lights off during the day.
* Spread the word to promote going green through the biodiesel logo on their trucks and their green T-shirts.
