Cody Faust

Cody Faust

Cody was born and raised in Morro Bay, California, and spent his summers in the Fresno area at his grandparents’ farm. When Cody was five years old his brother and uncle got him interested in wrestling and he has been wrestling ever since. Cody also played football from the ages of 10-18 and graduated from Morro Bay High School in 2003 earning All-League honors four times, All-County twice, and All-CIF in his senior year. Cody joined the ARMY as a Forward Observer after graduating high school and completed basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He graduated from Airborne school in Fort Benning, Georgia. In December of 2003 Cody was assigned to the 501st Airborne in Alaska. In February of 2004 Cody was deployed to the Pakistan/Afghanistan border in a village called Khost for 7 months. He was then deployed to Mosul in Iraq with the 4th battalion 23rd infantry for 13 months from July 2005 to August 2006 and was honorably discharged from the Army in December 2006. He started at Meathead Movers in May of 2007, and was soon promoted to his current position as a Move Coordinator. Cody and his wife, Maria, reside in Morro Bay with their daughter, Olivia.

Jake Shields

Jake Shields

Jake Shields was raised near Mt. Ranch, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of northern California. Jake began wrestling at age nine. He has competed in over 650 folk, freestyle and submission wrestling matches. A four year varsity wrestler and state qualifier at Calaveras H.S., 2nd place A.A.U. National Freestyle Championships, qualified for U.S.A./ Fila Nationals & World Team Trials in both the junior & university men's divisions, two time All American at Cuesta College, 3X Grapplers Quest Advance Champion, Pan American Jui Jitsu Champion, Pan Am Open Advance Submission Champion, Gracie Open Superfight Champion, 3rd place at ADCC 2005. Jake was also Aaron Steed's (CEO of Meathead Movers) wrestling partner for 2 years at Cuesta College. Jake worked for Meathead Movers for 3 years and was a Mentor for 2 years. Jake was also honored as Mentor of the Quarter and was known as a funny and charismatic strong man.

Jordan Beck

Jordan Beck

Jordan Beck, now a linebacker for the Alanta Falcons and former Meathead Mover in the San Luis Obispo Division. Jordan is 6'2 " and 233 lbs. Cal Poly's first Buck Buchanan Award winner as best defensive player in Division I-AA. Played in 2005 East-West Shrine Game at SBC Park in San Francisco, where he led the West squad in tackles with six. Other awards include: American Football Coaches Association All-American, The Sports Network All-America First Team Defense, Walter Camp Football Foundation All-American, College Sports Report.com Performer of the Year (First Team Defense), I-AA.org All-Star Team, Linebacker of the Year by Don Hansen's Football gazette, and Great West Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year (First Team Defense). He led the Mustangs to 9-2 record and inaugural Great West Football Conference championship. He broke the school record for tackles in a season with 135, including 97 solo stops. He also broke school career mark for tackles, which now stands at 449. He has notched 22 total tackles in Eastern Washington game, one short of school record he set at Montana in 2003. He was Cal Poly's leading tackler all four seasons as a Mustang.

Evan Aanerud

Evan Aanerud

Evan Aanerud is a local from the San Luis Obispo area and has been associated with meathead movers since he was in high school. Aaron Steed was Evan's wrestling coach. Evan enlisted in the Marine reserves in 2002 after high school. He was originally trained as a machinegunner and deployed to Iraq in 2003. He served for 8 months during Operation Iraqi Freedom. When he returned he attended Officer's candidate school in 2004. in 2005 he was selected to join his unit's Scout Sniper Platoon. Evan graduated from the USMC Scout/ Sniper school in 2006 as the class Honorman, Instructor's Choice, and High Shooter. It was the first time in the history of the school that one marine graduated with all three honors. The school has a 58% drop out rate. A graduate of SLO high, Cuesta College and a current Cal Poly student, he works at meathead movers as a mentor while continuing his college education and military career.

David Richardson

David Richardson

David Richardson, 6' 1" and 200 lbs and originally from Los Angeles, Ca. David is a Safety for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Dave was a Meathead Mover for the San Luis Obispo Division. Dave always worked hard, had a smile on his face and is a man of integrity. Dave is also scheduled to speak at a Meathead Movers the next time he is in town to share his experiences of being in the NFL and what it takes to become a Champion.

Ben Fogel

Ben Fogel

Ben Fogel from Nevada City, CA and former Meathead Mover for the San Luis Obispo division. Sponsored by Meathead Movers on his track to the winter Olympics, Ben Fogel moved to Colorado Springs to train full-time to reach his Olympic dream. Ben is also one of the nicest most sincere people you could ever meet. Ben also qualified for Team USA and competed in the world trials.

Chris Gocong

Chris Gocong

Chris Gocong is now playing for the Philadelphia Eagles and former Meathead Mover in the San Luis Obispo division. Chris is 6' 3" 265 lbs originally from Santa Barbara California. At Cal Poly, Chris was honored from The Sports Network All-America First Team Defense, Walter Camp Football Foundation All-American, College Sports Report.com Defensive Lineman of the Year (First Team Defense), I-AA.org All-Star Team, Football Gazette All-West Region Team (First Team Defense) and Great West Football Conference First Team Defense.

Chad Mendes

Chad Mendes

Chad Mendes is from Hanford Ca, Pac-10 Champion winning his final match at the PAC 10 Championships in just 16 seconds against Martin Mitchell of Oregon St., returning Division 1 All-American Wretsler for Cal Poly at 125 lbs. Chad started working for Meathead Movers in early 2006, he is an incredibly hard worker and is usually the life of the party at Meathead functions.

Paul Acosta

Paul Acosta

Paul Acosta grew up in San Diego. Wrestled for Valhalla High School. 2x California State place winner. Came to Cal Poly in 1999 for wrestling. Began working at Meathead Movers in 2000. Enlisted in Marine Corps Reserves July 02. Deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom March 2003 with 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. Has also deployed to Okinawa, Russia, Australia, Philippines, South America and most recently to Djibouti, Africa. Current billet is Light Armored Vehicle Gunner. Returned to San Luis Obispo October 2006 to continue at Cal Poly studying Construction Management and resume working at Meathead.

Gan McGee

Gan McGee

Gan McGee has a 12-4-0 record including wins in the U.F.C. and Pride. Gan "The Giant" McGee is 6' 10" weighing 260 lbs. Gan worked for Meathead for a brief time before he became famous in the MMA world training with MMA legend and current UFC Champion Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell. Gan is known as being a friendly giant who spends most of his time training and laughing with his friends.
